Cleveland Browns
Duke Johnson/Isaiah Crowell (Running Backs): Johnson has found his role in this offense and it is not at running back. Johnson only had 8 carries and ran for 20 yards however through the air Johnson was a star. He broke out a caught 9 out of 10 targets for 85 yards and a touchdown while Crowell handled the ground work, rushing for 63 yards on 12 carries. Crowell also caught all 3 of his targets for 62 yards.
Travis Benjamin (Wide Receiver): Benjamin was outshined by Duke Johnson in the passing game however still got open to pick up some decent yards. Benjamin caught 6 out of 10 targets for 79 yards.
San Diego Chargers
Stevie Johnson/Keenan Allen/Malcom Floyd (Wide Receivers): This was a costly week for Chargers wide receivers as both Johnson and Floyd are currently dealing with injuries suffered in week 4. Floyd was knocked out of the game with a concussion and Johnson left the week 4 contest after injuring his hamstring, he caught 4 out of 8 targets for 32 yards. That left Allen to dominate the targets reeling in 4 out of his 7 passes for 72 yards and a touchdown.
Melvin Gordon/Danny Woodhead (Running Back): Gordon reverted back to his softer style of play against a tough Browns defense that can hit pretty hard. Gordon had 12 carries for 38 yards and caught both of his targets for 8 yards. Woodhead on the other hand was a third down back and a passing down back so he saw a ton of action. Woodhead ended his day with 8 carries for 54 yards and caught all 4 of his targets for 84 yards.
Philip Rivers (Quarterback): Rivers had a fantastic day from the field completing 23 out of 38 passes for 358 yards and 3 touchdowns. Rivers was impressive as he only had 2 healthy wide receivers for a large portion of the game.
