The Maryland Terrapins and Ohio State Buckeyes are playing live on the Big Ten college football schedule and the game is on the Big Ten Network starting at 12 pm ET on Saturday. OSU is ranked number one and remains undefeated and they will host the game from Buckeye Stadium.
Maryland comes into the game reeling after two tough losses and the team reportedly is considering firing head coach Randy Edsall. Maryland comes in as heavy underdogs in the game and the defense has not been playing well over the past couple weeks, something that could be a major issue with the number one team in college football on the schedule.
Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett have both played and have been up and down for Ohio State and Maryland will have to find a way to stop the OSU offense. Ezekiel Elliott has been stellar for the team and he has over 700 yards rushing with eight touchdowns this season. Elliott is a Heisman candidate, but everyone is chasing Leonard Fournette right now. Ohio State is 5-0 this season and opened the Big Ten schedule with a win against Indiana, but it was much closer than everyone expected.
Last year Ohio State won big in this game 52-24 and improved to 4-1 at the time and were ranked at number 20. The team is number one now and they will be looking to take care of business with Maryland at just 2-3 on the season. Maryland comes in after a bad loss to Michigan and after playing Ohio State the team has Penn State and then Iowa. The team lost 45-6 to West Virginia before the Michigan game and the team has also lost to Bowling Green this season.
