Fantasy Football Recap Week 5: San Francisco 49ers at New York Giants, Carlos Hyde, Anquan Boldin, Torrey Smith, Odell Beckham, Shane Vereen, Rashad Jennings,

San Francisco 49ers

Carlos Hyde (Running Back): Carlos Hyde had 21 carries for 93 yards and a touchdown in week 5's Sunday night matchup with the New York Giants. Hyde also caught 1 out of 5 targets for 4 yards. Hyde's production has been sporadic but you can begin to see this 49ers offense begin to come together. Hyde will be the focal point of the offense moving forward.

Anquan Boldin/Torrey Smith (Wide Receivers): Boldin clearly outplayed Smith and has now become the 49ers number 1 wide receiver. Boldin reeled in 8 out of 12 targets for 107 yards and a touchdown while Smith was only able to finish the day with 2 catches for 42 yards. Smith is barely holding on to fantasy relevance.

New York Giants

Odell Beckham JR (Wide Receiver): ODB bounced back from an off week 4 with 7 catches for 121 yards and a touchdown however he aggravated his hamstring injury while he performed Victor Cruz's salsa celebration dance. It is not known how serious the injury is and he did return for the final drive but he absolutely needed to be on the field for it. The Giants needed Cruz to take away some defenders to give Eli a shot at winning late in the fourth quarter.

Shane Vereen/Rashad Jennings (Running Backs): Vereen was the Giants running back this week to find the end zone. Vereen had 5 carries for 24 yards, 8 catches for 86 yards and a touchdown. Vereen had to help out in the passing game when ODB and Rueben Randle went down with injuries. Jennings on the other hand had 11 carries for 46 yards and 4 catches for 21 yards.
