Fantasy Football Recap Week 5: New Orleans Saints at Philadelphia Eagles, Drew Brees, Mark Ingram, Willie Snead, Brandin Cooks, Khiry Robinson, Ryan Mathews

New Orleans Saints

Drew Brees (Quarterback): Brees has struggled this entire season however this week he did look fully recovered from his shoulder injury. Brees finished the day completing 26 of 43 passing attempts for 335 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception. Brees's offensive line did him no favors as he lost 2 fumbles on the day.

Mark Ingram/CJ Spiller (Running Back): Ingram had 12 carries for 57 yards and caught 2 out of 3 targets for 17 yards. The Saints were down for the majority of this game which did not help Ingram or Spillers fantasy value in the slightest. Spiller finished with 3 carries for 10 yards and caught 3 out of 4 targets for -8 yards. Spiller has yet to find a role in this offense.

Willie Snead/Brandin Cooks (Wide Receiver): Snead has carved out a number 2 wide receiver role for himself however Brandin Cooks showed up today to reclaim the number 1 spot. Cooks finished the day catching 5 out of his 9 targets for 107 yards and a touchdown. This was a great fantasy performance coming from a guy who has barely been effective this season. Cooks was listed as one of the sleepers for 2015, a couple of more games like this will give him a lot more value than what was previously thought.

Philadelphia Eagles

DeMarco Murray/Ryan Mathews (Running Back): Murray had his best day as an Eagle finishing the day with 20 carries for 83 yards and a rushing touchdown. He also caught 7 out of 8 targets for 37 yards. Ryan Mathews had 8 carries for 73 yards and a touchdown while catching all 3 of his targets for 23 yards.

Josh Huff/Jordan Matthews (Wide Receivers): Huff talked a big game in the offseason and failed to produce until today. Huff caught 4 out of 5 targets for 78 yards and a touchdown. This week Jordan Matthews took a backseat to Huff, reeling in 5 out of 7 targets for 44 yards.
