Baltimore Ravens Rumors: Breshad Perriman, Steve Smith Injuries Force Cordarrelle Patterson, Roddy White Trade Interest? Justin Forsett Active Week 6 for Joe Flacco Help

The Baltimore Ravens are not in a good place at the moment as the team continues to scratch their heads at the 1-4 start. The Ravens fell to the Cleveland Browns in shocking fashion as the defense allowed Josh McCown to have a career day while the offense struggled to get things done. While head coach John Harbaugh made it clear that coaching changes are not in the future, roster additions could be.

The Ravens were without two of their top receivers in Week 5 which caused quarterback Joe Flacco to make something out of nothing. In this first quarter, the wide receivers had just three catches for 6 yards on Sunday. Part of that was due to the absence of Steve Smith. The veteran was out with a back injury as ESPN is reporting he has four micro fractures causing him pain. However, Harbaugh that he expects Smith to be back On Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. Can the same be said about Breshad Perriman?

According to the Baltimore Sun, Pettiman is out indefinitely with a PCL sprain that simply is not healing. Harbaugh is not thrilled that the team's rookie receiver is not on the field. He has been practicing, but cannot seem to get into a game. With Harbaugh admitting frustration, could this cause the Ravens to try and make a roster addition in the coming future?

"He's had probably one of the all-time, slowest-healing sprained PCLs ever," Harbaugh said, via the Baltimore Sun. "That's nothing against him. That's just the way it is. It's just tough."

Right now, the trade market could feature Roddy White and Cordarrelle Patterson as news sources report either wide receiver might be available in the short-term during the in-season trade deadline. On the free agent market, Hakeem Nick remains available along with Reggie Wayne and Wes Welker. All three receivers have received looks from other teams and the Ravens would be smart to at least think about adding someone to the roster that is currently struggling to make something out of nothing.

One player that the Ravens cannot afford to lose is Justin Forsett who is having a big year, but suffered an ankle injury in Week 5. According to Harbaugh, the issue is not severe and Forsett is expected to play against the 49ers. An MRI revealed that the running back did not have a high ankle sprain which means he could be on the field in Week 6. The running back has accounted for 44 percent of the team's offense and they certainly need him to get a win.
