Houston Astros vs. Kansas City Royals ALDS Live Stream: Watch Online Game 5 MLB Playoffs Streaming

The Houston Astros and Kansas City Royals are playing ALDS Game 5 on Wednesday night and the matchup is live on TV and streaming from Fox Sports 1 and the Fox Sports Go website. The game starts up past 8 pm ET from Kauffman Stadium and is a winner take all with the series tied 2-2 and the winner will advance to the ALCS.

The Royals came back from the brink against the Astros in Game 4 to force Game 5, erasing a 6-2 lead by Houston and winning the game to push things to the limit. The Royals did a similar thing in the wild card game last year and the team never feels like they are too far back from any game, no matter the score. The Royals scored five runs in a wild eighth inning in that game and now the series is tied 2-2 and the final matchup will be in Kauffman Stadium.

The Royals have Johnny Cueto starting the game on Wednesday and they need him to be the pitcher they thought they were acquiring at the trade deadline. Cueto was an ace with the Reds and while he did not pitch up to those standards during the regular season with the Royals, he has the chance to make up for that now. Cueto pitched in Game 2 and he gave up four runs and now the Royals need him to be the ace he was in Cincy against the Astros on Wednesday night.

The Astros could have turned to Dallas Keuchel again, but the team will put in Collin McHugh for the game and he comes in after pitching Game 1 of the series. McHugh won that game and gave up two runs in six innings of work and he now has the Astros season on his shoulders. Cueto has not had much postseason success in his career, but he can change all of that with one strong start for the Royals on Wednesday and they need it.

The Royals seemingly play up in elimination games, as ESPN stats have the team winning all but one of their last 10 elimination contests. The team could have some momentum after winning in such dramatic fashion in Game 4 and they are hoping to advance as the top team in the American League. The Astros were the second wild card and they are trying to take a similar path that the Royals did, as Kansas City was a wild card team last season and made it to the World Series. McHugh will be watching out for Kendrys Morales in this game, as Morales blasted two solo home runs in his last start for the only Royals runs in that game.
