The Montreal Canadiens have started the NHL season strong and the team is undefeated at 6-0 as they go into their game on Tuesday against the Blues. The Tampa Bay Lightning are hoping to get Victor Hedman back Tuesday after the defenseman suffered an injury last week.

The Canadiens were one of the best teams in the NHL last season behind an MVP year from Carey Price and the team is now looking to stay undefeated to open the year. The Canadiens have won against the Maple Leafs, Bruins, Senators, Penguins, Rangers and Red Wings and coming up they have games against the Blues, Sabres and Maple Leafs again.

The team got goals from Jeff Petry, Brendan Gallagher and Tomas Plekanec in the game against the Red Wings and Price was sharp again to earn the win. The roster is deep and experienced after the playoff runs the past few years and Price has shown that he is one of the best goalies in the league, giving Montreal enough to win the Stanley Cup. But can they do it? The streak for a Canadian team winning the Cup has gone on for a while and Montreal has the look of a top contender this year.

Heading into their seventh game of the season, Montreal has been outscoring opponents by 13 goals and while that is due in part to Price, the team has been scoring at a solid pace. Price comes in at 5-0-0 with a 1.20 GAA average to start the season and while this is only a two week stretch, it could be a sign for things to come for Montreal.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are hoping to get Victor Hedman back healthy this week and it comes after the defenseman was injured in the game against the Stars last week. According to NHL.com, Hedman was able to practice on Monday and he was "optimistic" about playing against the Predators on Tuesday. Hedman was originally injured after getting hit by Jamie Benn of the Stars, as the defenseman banged his head against the boards and left the game. Hedman sat out on Saturday and now could return on Tuesday.
