The New Orleans Saints defeated the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football 28-13 as Drew Brees continued rolling and the defense stepped it up.

The Saints sacked Michael Vick seven times in this game, the most times the Eagles' quarterback had even been sacked in his career.

Turnovers became a huge part of this game once again. No turnover was bigger than the 99-yard pick-six by Patrick Robinson as the Eagles were threatening towards the end of the first quarter.  

The Eagles later fumbled in the red zone again this time with 3:03 left in the game as Brent Celek could not hold on to the ball following a huge hit.

Whatever his defense did, Brees took advantage throwing two touchdowns and 239 yards passing.

Their three-headed rushing game combined for over 100 yards on the ground as Chris Ivory rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown, Mark Ingram and Pierre Thomas both had 44 each.

Jimmy Graham had 72 yards and a touchdown and Marques Colston had 46 yards on a touchdown.

Though the Saints were the dominant team, the Eagles had their opportunities to score.  DeSean Jackson had 100 yards receiving and a touchdown on a 77-yard reception.

LeSean McCoy destroyed the Saints' ground defense as he went for 119 yards in 19 carries.

The Eagles continue to rack up yardage, but had nothing to show for on the scoreboard.

Their defense kept them close as they recovered back-to-back fumbles, in which the Eagles were able convert into 10 points.

This loss is bad news for the Eagles. They could have gained a game on everybody in the NFC East as the Redskins, Giants and Cowboys all lost on Sunday.

They are now 3-5 and they face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10. The Saints are now also 3-5 and they host the undefeated Atlanta Falcons.
