Chelsea will be desperate to bounce back against Shakhtar Donetsk when the top two sides of Group E clash in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge.
The defending champions suffered a 2-1 defeat to Shakhtar in the previous tie, leaving the Blues precariously placed on four points from three games. Shakhtar lead the table on seven points with Juventus in third on three points.
"We expect a very difficult game tomorrow and this is one the crucial games for us," Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic said. "We remember the other game away to Shakhtar and I hope for and expect a completely different game here.
"Everyone knows how it is difficult to play away games in the Champions League but we conceded at the beginning of the match there and lost a bit of our organisation, but we know where we made mistakes and we know how we have to play this time and what we need to stop. We need to stop the counter attacks as Shakhtar are one of the best counter-attack teams.
"These kind of games are very difficult to play because we play under pressure but the positive way you have to think about it is we know how we have to prepare and play this game to win.
"The problem with Chelsea in the Champions League at the moment is maybe the number of points we have, not the way we played because we controlled the game at home to Juventus and were a little unlucky.
"But we have a good chance to win tomorrow -- we have to keep going, be strong and to grow up as a team, and we will still have the possibility to qualify if we win tomorrow."
John Terry is expected to be named in the starting lineup, while David Luiz and Juan Mata are to undergo fitness tests before deciding whether they will be a part of the game or not. Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole, however, are ruled out.
"We are going to be successful if we are defensive good as a team," Ivanovic added. "This is part of the game where we can and have to improve as a team because I am sure we can create some chances and score goals against every team. The question is over the defence and we are going to work harder on our defensive line.
"John Terry is very important for our organisation, our defensive line and our control of the game, but we expect a lot of important games coming up so every player is important."
Shakhtar will look to repeat the performance against Chelsea a couple of weeks ago, with the Ukrainian side currently looking like the team to beat in the group. "We have prepared well," manager Mircea Lucescu said. "We are in good form too.
"Our players are also thinking of this game as a very important match for us -- for the three points, for remaining at this level. It's not every year you can play against teams like Juventus or Chelsea. I prepare my players knowing very well that absolutely all teams can be beaten -- even Chelsea at home.
"I don't want to talk about 'what if.' It is going to be a very good game -- yes Chelsea have to win, Di Matteo has already said that it will be one of the biggest games for Chelsea since the final. When you play in the Champions League, each match is very important. Chelsea are a very strong team, but we are not the weakest."
