Miami Dolphins Rumors: DeVante Parker Benched as Lamar Miller, Rishard Matthews Excel? Ryan Tannehill Pushes Jarvis Landry, Greg Jennings Help

The Miami Dolphins have won two games and suddenly the team is feeling good with momentum in their favor. After the switch to Dan Campbell as head coach, the Dolphins are looking impressive in the past two weeks and aim to keep it going. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill was on fire last week against the Houston Texans and it was due to the rise of a few offensive stars.

With a Thursday night matchup brewing between the Dolphins and the New England Patriots, Miami hopes to continue riding the wave of Lamar Miller and Rishard Matthews. Over the past two weeks, Miller has been a star for Miami as they push running the ball. HE is a fantast starter against the Patriots who's weakness appears to fall in the run defense category. In Week 5 and 6, Miller put up 288 yards and three touchdowns. He is thankful for the jump in production.

"The coaches are giving me opportunities to make plays for this team," Miller said, via ESPN.com. "Every time I get the ball, I try to make a play for this team and just try to get positive yards and do anything I can."

Matthews is also getting a chance to make plays alongside Jarvis Landry as he moves up the depth chart. Matthews continues to develop into one of Tannehill's favorite targets. His rise has been met with the downfall of DeVante Parker who did not get his name in the boxscore in Week 7. Parker has been getting almost no time on the field and Campbell admitted that he does not feel pressure to play him just because of his draft status. Until he develops more, Campbell will continue to push Matthews, Landry and Kenny Stills are the receiving corps

"No, not for me," Campbell said via James Walker of ESPN. "We all know what kind of player he is capable of being just by the talent level that he has, and we're just trying to get him to become the football player that we believe he can be. I mentioned this last week -- he's a flash player right now. As soon as those flashes start showing up a lot more often, that's when you feel good about getting him on the field."

Tannehill is simply hoping the offensive momentum continues regardless of who is on the field for the Dolphins. The quarterback is fresh off breaking an NFL record with 25 pass completions over the past two games. He is completing 83.3 percent of his passes while having six touchdown passes in the past two games. Tannehill is finally hitting big plays and wants it to continue.

"It's high and I think it continues to grow," Tannehill said, via ESPN.com. "We're two games into our fresh start, still learning, still getting better, but we're moving in the right direction and have to take a big step this week."
