NFL Fantasy Sleepers Week 9: Malcom Floyd, Michael Crabtree, Tavon Austin, Ronnie Hillman, Vernon Davis, Ladarius Green, Derek Carr, Alfred Blue

The fantasy football schedule is into Week 9 and some sleepers and pickups include Alfred Blue, Vernon Davis, Malcom Floyd, Michael Crabtree, Ladarius Green, Tavon Austin, Stefon Diggs, Ronnie Hillman, Derek Carr, Jeremy Langford and DeAngelo Williams for fantasy owners.

Vernon Davis just got traded to the Broncos and while he has been a disappointment as a fantasy player for the 49ers, he now has Peyton Manning as his quarterback. Davis could be a sleeper moving forward and is worth a look at tight end. The injury to Arian Foster opened things up for Alfred Blue and Chris Polk and they are solid options at running back. Ronnie Hillman has been starting over CJ Anderson and moving forward he is a good starter option for fantasy owners.

Keenan Allen is dealing with an injury for the Chargers and that gives Malcom Floyd the chance to step up for San Diego. Floyd had two touchdowns last week on four catches for 92 yards and if Allen misses time going forward, Floyd should continue to get looks from Philip Rivers. Tavon Austin had another strong game for the Rams and he is worth checking out along with Stefon Diggs at the WR position heading into Week 9.

Check here for more on fantasy football Week 9, players to pick up, sleepers and injury replacement options for players like Matt Forte and Steve Smith.

Blue is going to be the lead back and he comes in after starting last week and putting up over 70 total yards for the Texans. Blue started earlier in the season when Foster was injured and he is a better option for now over Polk, who is worth picking up in deeper leagues. Matt Jones is also worth a look for the Redskins, as he has been getting more work for Jay Gruden and Gruden said that he would continue splitting time with Alfred Morris. Jones has been solid as a rookie and in the last game before the bye week, Jones had more snaps than Morris despite Morris getting the start.

The Raiders showed off some offensive firepower against a strong Jets defense this past weekend and players like Derek Carr and Michael Crabtree are worth taking a look at. Crabtree comes in after making seven catches for 102 yards and a touchdown against the Jets and he was targeted 12 times in the game. Amari Cooper is the clear number one, but Crabtree has put up solid numbers and is worth a look as a WR2 or WR3 moving forward. Carr had his best game of the season with 333 yards and four touchdowns and he has put up strong numbers this year with 15 touchdowns and just three interceptions.

There were some major injuries in the NFL in Week 8 and that has some big ramifications for fantasy owners moving forward this season. Players like Steve Smith, Matt Forte, Khiry Robinson, Reggie Bush and Le'Veon Bell all suffered injuries and some of those players are now out for the season. Jeremy Langford, DeAngelo Williams, Kamar Aiken, CJ Spiller and Mike Davis all could be sleeper options if they get more playing time with those players out. Smith, Bell and Bush along with Robinson are out for the season, while Forte is expected to miss some time with a knee injury. Green also could get some looks if Antonio Gates remains out.
