Jo-Wilfried Tsonga faces Andy Murray in the final match of the round robins at the ATP World Tour Finals, which will have opening set a little after 2:45 p.m. ET/7:45 p.m. GMT.
For Murray it is a must-have match. He is 1-1 in the first round of competition as he suffered a loss to Novak Djokovic on Wednesday.
For Tsonga, it will be a disappointing end to the 2012 season as he already has two losses in the round robin stage of the tournament.
He was beaten by Novak Djokovic and most recently, was beaten by Tomas Berdych in three sets (7-5, 3-6, 6-1).
After Djokovic's victory over Berdych earlier today in two straight sets, Berdych's record stands at 1-2 with three sets won and five lost.
Murray does not necessarily have to win today, all has has to do is win one set and he automatically passes on to the semifinals as his sets record in the ATP World Tour is 3-3.
In case of a tie in record, the number of sets won will determine which player advances.
Murray will then advance to the semifinals where he will face Roger Federer.
History is on Murray's side as he has beat Tsonga six of the seven times they have met. They last met in Wimbledon this year and Murray won in four sets 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.
