The Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers are playing at the Staples Center on Saturday night and the game has Chris Paul as a game time decision. The game starts at 10:30 pm ET and is a rematch of the playoffs last year as James Harden and Blake Griffin battle.
The Clippers come in after a close loss to the Warriors and they are 4-1 this season after opening with four straight victories. Paul injured his groin and could be out for the Clippers, while Blake Griffin said he is looking forward to facing the team again after the playoffs series last season. Paul had 24 points and nine assists in the game against the Warriors for the Clippers and he was able to shoot at the workout leading into the game.
Harden has been playing well over the last three games, averaging over 35 points as the Rockets have been on a winning streak. The team started 0-3 to open the season and they have been playing better over the last stretch of games. Dwight Howard missed out in the last game against the Kings and the Rockets still were able to win. Harden had 43 points and 13 assists in the game against the Kings and he will be looking to continue that against the Clippers.
The Rockets have won three straight against the Thunder, Magic and Kings and after playing the Clippers the team will match up with Brooklyn, Denver and Dallas. The team has the Celtics, Blazers, Grizzlies and Knicks, while the Clippers have the Rockets and Grizzlies next on the schedule. The team won over the Kings twice, the Mavericks and the Suns this season and coming up the team has the Mavs, Suns, Pistons and Warriors coming up.
