The New York Rangers have been playing like a team possessed so far this season.
The Rangers won their sixth straight game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday as this defense continues to play at an all-time high. The first goal scored by Jesper Fast came with the Rangers strong fourth line, which has constantly proven to be a strength for them all season long.
That was Fast's 3rd goal in the last 2 games. The Hurricanes may have swarmed the Rangers early attempted 24 shots to the Rangers 8 but another goal from Rick Nash helped extend this lead.
This was the first goal of Nash's 2015 season so now that he finally has found the back of the net we will have to wait and see if this performance will lead to more goals down the line.
The final goal of this game came within the first 13 seconds of the 3rd period and was a credited to Ryan McDonagh which officially is his first goal of the season. The deep shot by McDonagh was deflected into the back of the Hurricanes net. Lundqvist finished the game with 33 saves and his first shutout victory of the season.
