The NFL injury report heading into Week 10 has players like Alshon Jeffery, Matt Forte, Eddie Lacy, Latavius Murray, Todd Gurley, DeAngelo Williams, Amari Cooper, Jonathan Stewart, Marshawn Lynch, Calvin Johnson, Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger banged up and hoping to play.
Peyton Manning is coming into the weekend with a foot injury and the Broncos are hoping that he will be ready to start on Sunday. According to the Denver Post, head coach Gary Kubiak said that there is "concern" about Manning, but that he expects the quarterback to "get there" for the game against the Chiefs. Manning has never missed an NFL start apart from the neck injury time back in 2011 and the Broncos are hoping he can go. Manning was at practice on Thursday and participated in a limited basis.
DeAngelo Williams sat out of practice on Wednesday with a foot injury and he was able to participate in full on Thursday. Williams is the lead back for the Steelers with Le'Veon Bell out for the season and he is by far the best option for the team with Jordan Todman and Isaiah Pead on the roster. The Steelers also have Ben Roethlisberger coming into the weekend with a foot injury and his status is up in the air for Sunday. Roethlisberger is expected to be out, but he was able to practice on a limited basis on Thursday and could try to play.
The Chicago Bears have Alshon Jeffery and Matt Forte dealing with injuries and both players could be in danger of missing Week 10. Jeffery is more likely to play after dealing with a groin injury, as the Chicago Tribune reports that Jeffery was seen walking without a limp on Thursday, although he was not active at practice. Forte is dealing with a knee injury and after missing last week for the Bears, the Chicago Tribune reports that Forte is in "great doubt" for Sunday. Jeremy Langford would likely get the bulk of the carries if Forte is out.
The Packers have Eddie Lacy dealing with a groin injury and he was limited in practice on Thursday. The Packers are planning to start James Starks anyway and if Lacy is still hurting into Sunday, he could be out or limited for the game. Lacy has been inconsistent this season and he has lost his starting job for the moment with Starks running the ball well. Marshawn Lynch Seahawks is on the injury report with an abdominal injury and he is questionable for Sunday night.
Calvin Johnson was limited in practice for the Lions on Thursday and he could be a game time decision for the team against the Packers this week. The injury was called "minor" but he was not able to participate in full in practice. Johnson was out Friday, but he is expected to play on Sunday. Todd Gurley sat out of practice, but it was not injury related and he is a full go for Week 10. Jonathan Stewart is coming into the weekend with an ankle injury and he was limited in practice on Thursday. Stewart is still expected to start on Sunday.
