Novak Djokovic won over Roger Federer to take the ATP World Finals on Sunday, winning the championship match 6-3, 6-4. Djokovic won his fourth straight title at the tournament and Djokovic now finishes the season with 11 titles on the season.
The world number one player previously lost to Federer in group play in the tournament and he made up for that loss with a victory on Sunday. Djokovic won three Grand Slam titles this season and now he adds the ATP title for the fifth time in his career and fourth straight overall. Djokovic previously won over Rafael Nadal before facing Federer and the win gave Djokovic an even record against Federer in his career at 22-22.
"I'm obviously very proud to have these achievements with my team," said Djokovic during the trophy ceremony, according to ESPN. "It's been a long season, but the best of my life. Without their support and my family, I wouldn't be where I am. I'm just trying to cherish every moment at this level. As a kid growing up, you dream to be at tournaments like this and fighting for the biggest trophies in sport."
