The fantasy football schedule picks up in Week 12 with the New England Patriots playing the Denver Broncos and players to start or sit for the game include Danny Amendola, Emmanuel Sanders, Brandon LaFell, James White, Keyshawn Martin, Ronnie Hillman, Tom Brady, Brock Osweiler and CJ Anderson.
Danny Amendola will be out with an injury for the Pats and that means players like Brandon LaFell and Keshawn Martin will get the chance to step up along with Chris Harper for Tom Brady. The Patriots have already lost Julian Edelman and Dion Lewis to injuries and with Amendola out, Martin and LaFell will be the main passing options on offense. James White will be the second RB with LeGarrette Blount and he could see increased work after a solid game last week.
The Broncos come into the game after a win against the Chicago Bears and they have Brock Osweiler starting again for Peyton Manning. Emmanuel Sanders comes into the game probable after dealing with an ankle injury and he is expected to start. Sanders and Demaryius Thomas are the top WR options for the Broncos, while Ronnie Hillman has been a better running back option over CJ Anderson. Hillman had 102 yards rushing and had more touches than Anderson in Week 11 and that should continue into Week 12.
LaFell dealt with an injury earlier in the season, but he returned in Week 7 and now he is the number one receiver for the Patriots. LaFell comes in after making four receptions for 66 yards last week and while he has not scored a TD yet this season, he should get the chance to find the endzone with all the injuries. Martin has just six catches this season in three games, but he is worth a START with the injury issues for the Patriots. White had two touchdowns last week and while the team uses Blount as the lead back, White is a good START as he slots in over Brandon Bolden for the Dion Lewis role.
Brock Osweiler had a strong game in his first start for the Broncos last week, completing 20-of-27 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns and now he matches up with the Patriots. Osweiler is worth a START for the Broncos and he could surprise with a solid game despite the tough matchup. Sanders said that he and Osweiler have had the chance to work together over the week and that they have developed some chemistry with Manning out.
The classic Peyton Manning-Tom Brady battle will not happen this week and now Brock Osweiler will get his first chance to play against the Patriots and Brady as a starter.
