NFL Standings and Playoff Race: Wild Card Picture AFC and NFC, Division Leaders, Patriots Lose, Panthers Undefeated 11-0, Chiefs, Texans Win

The NFL playoff standings heading into Week 13 has the Patriots, Bengals, Broncos, Colts, Chiefs and Texans in the AFC, while the Panthers, Cardinals, Vikings, Redskins, Packers and Seahawks are in position in the NFC. The Carolina Panthers remain undefeated at 11-0, while the Patriots suffered their first loss of the season against the Denver Broncos to fall to 10-1.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans have been two of the hottest teams in the league and now they are in playoff position heading into Week 13. The New England Patriots remain the leaders in the AFC East and they basically have the division wrapped up despite the loss on Sunday night. The team is now 10-1 on the season and they lead the 6-5 Jets, 5-6 Buffalo Bills and 4-7 Miami Dolphins in the standings.

The AFC North race has the Cincinnati Bengals leading with a 9-2 record over the Steelers, who fell to 6-5 with the loss on Sunday to the Seahawks. The Ravens and the Browns are at the bottom of the division and they are battling for NFL draft position this year. The AFC South division all of a sudden has some life, as the Colts are leading at 6-5 after winning three in a row, but they have the Texans right there with them, as the team has won four games in a row.

The Texans are behind the Colts for the moment after Houston lost to Indianapolis earlier in the season, but the teams will play again in a few weeks. The Jaguars are 4-7 on the season, while the Titans are 2-9 after losing to the Raiders on Sunday. The NFC East division is still up for grabs, but Washington is in the lead now after winning over the Giants on Sunday. Both teams have 5-6 records this season, but the Redskins have a better division record right now. The Eagles are 4-7 and the Cowboys are 3-8 after both teams lost on Thanksgiving.

The Minnesota Vikings lead the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North, while the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions are next in the standings. The Carolina Panthers have the NFC South basically wrapped up with an 11-0 record, while the Falcons, Buccaneers and Saints are next in the standings. The NFC West has the Arizona Cardinals leading at 9-2, while the Seattle Seahawks are 6-5 ahead of the Rams and 49ers.

The wild card races are starting to take shape into Week 13 and in the AFC two hot teams are in position with the Chiefs and Texans in the 5-6 spots. Both teams are 6-5 on the season and behind them in the standings are the Jets and Steelers, who are both 6-5, along with the Raiders and Bills at 5-6. The NFC Wild Card has the Packers in at 7-4 and the Seahawks in at 6-5, while the Falcons are 6-7 and seventh in the conference. The Buccaneers, Bears and Giants are all 5-6 this season.
