Dolphins vs. Bills Prediction for Thursday Night Football Matchup at 8:25 p.m. ET

Run, run, run. That is what we should expect to see today as the Miami Dolphins travel to New York, not to face the Jets, but to face the Buffalo Bills as Week 11 of the NFL takes of at 8:25 p.m. ET with Thursday Night Football.

Both clubs have hit a road block entering tonight's matchup as both teams have lost a couple of their previous games.

The Dolphins a better off than the Bills. Well, slightly.

Miami has lost two in a row, but they are still within striking distance of .500. The Bills are losers of three straight and three games under .500.

Buffalo has not won a game in over a month when they defeated the Arizona Cardinals, who were beginning their decline at that point.

Their defense has played poorly and has not been able to back up the decent season Ryan Fitzpatrick and their running game is putting together on offense.

The Bills expensive D ranks worst in points allowed and rushing yards allowed per game. Opponents have been putting up about 32 points and close to 165 yards rushing per game. Their pass defense isn't any better giving up over 240 yards per game.

The Dolphins might not have a great aerial attack, but they can run the life out of any defense.

Coming into this matchup, Ryan Tannehill has been praised for running the offense in Miami, but his arm has not been getting it done for the Dolphins.

Tannehill has totalled 1,979 yards passing with five touchdowns and nine interceptions, but the running game has chipped in to help balance things out. Running is the Dolphins' forte on offense.

Their defense is pretty good allowing just 20 points per game good for 8th best in the league and their rushing game is 5th in the NFL as they only give up less than 75 yards per game.

Predictions
With this combination of a struggling Bills defense and the Dolphins' running game, the advantage has to go to the Dolphins. They are not a team that will light up the scoreboard, but the Bills defense has been so bad that the Dolphins will be able to scrape out a victory. They are tougher on defense also, which will likely give the Bills a tough time on offense.

The Bills are potent through the air with Fitzpatrick who has 2011 yards passing and 17 touchdowns in the season. However, the Dolphins will cripple their running game forcing Fitzpatrick to throw and his 10 interceptions prove that he is bound to commit mistakes.
