PGA Tour Golf News: Tiger Woods Still Recovering From Back Surgery, Return Date Unknown

Golfer Tiger Woods remains sidelined following back surgery earlier in September and October and the former top ranked golfer has no set date to return. Woods spoke about his recovery this week and when asked about a return to the course, Woods said that there is "no timetable" and that he has "no answer" to when he will come back.

According to ESPN, Woods had two procedures in the fall to help with a pinched nerve issue. Woods said that he has not swung a golf club since having back surgery procedures and he also has not started any rehabilitation work. Woods will turn 40 this month and he comes in after playing in just 11 events this past season.

Woods was named as one of the assistants for the 2016 Ryder Cup last month and Woods said that he is hoping he can play in the competition. ESPN reports that Woods had a "microdiscectomy to deal with disc issues" and now he has had three back surgery procedures over the past year and a half.

According to ESPN.com, Woods said: "There's nothing I can look forward to, nothing I can build towards. Where's the light at the end of the tunnel? I don't know."
