------WELCOME TO THE LIVE BLOG----

The Boston Celtics travel to Brooklyn where it should be a hostile crowd as they face their rival Nets with the action tipping off at 8 p.m. ET.

The Nets are fresh off a victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers as they are currently on a three-game winning streak.

However, they are not the only hot team on the floor at the Barclays Center as the Celtics are also on fire and on a three-game winning streak of their own.

Both teams have changed things around as they started off the season on the wrong foot.

It took the 5-3 Celtics some time to win their first game of the season after losing to the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks in their first two games of the season. They bounced back with consecutive victories against the Washington Wizards, lost to the 76ers and then beat the Chicago Bulls, Utah Jazz and the Bucks.

The Nets, who are 4-2, won their first game against the Toronto Raptors, but then lost back-to-back games against the Minnesota Timberwolves, a game they led by 22 points, and they were beaten by the Heat.

Brooklyn bounced back to defeat the Orlando Magic in consecutive games and they recently defeated the Cavs.

Join us for a live blog of this action. We will bring highlights and scores of this first game between divisional rivals.

Though the Nets are still without Gerard Wallace, they have an advantage since the Celtics' quarterback, Rajon Rondo, will not be in action Thursday night.
