Chelsea defender David Luiz has given his opinion on the potential signing of Radamel Falcao from Atletico Madrid, saying the striker would be a perfect fit at Stamford Bridge.

Speculation has been rife of an impending move for the Colombian hitman, who has been scoring goals left, right and center, to Chelsea with reports suggesting billionaire Russian owner Roman Abramovich has already given the go-ahead for another big-money move.

There were also earlier reports of a pre-agreement between Chelsea and Atletico, even though they were shot down quickly by both the Spanish club and the player.

Falcao, like his team, has insisted he will stay with the Madrid team until the end of the season, but reports linking him with a move to England, with Premier League champions Manchester City also sniffing, has not stopped.

Real Madrid have also been reportedly keeping tabs on the Colombian international, with Jose Mourinho ready to offload either Karim Benzema or Gonzalo Higuain, in order to make room for the Atletico striker.

Now Brazilian Luiz, who played against Falcao's Colombian team in a friendly Wednesday night, believes the sooner Chelsea make the move for the prolific striker, the better. "He would fit perfectly in to the squad," Luiz told Brazilian media after their 1-1 draw with Colombia in the U.S.

"We would all be happy (if he signed) because Falcao would undoubtedly be a great player for our team."

"He is very difficult to stop," Luiz added on Terra.com. "He is an excellent striker."

With Fernando Torres struggling to find goals consistently with Chelsea, and the European champions only really having the Spaniard as a recognized center forward, Falcao will add another dimension to the Blues squad, brimming with playmaking midfielders capable of creating chances for their strikers.
