NFL Results: Final Score Bills 19-14 Victory Over the Dolphins in Thursday Night Football Matchup

The Buffalo Bills defeated the Miami Dolphins 19-14 in a Thursday Night Football game that went down to the wire.

The Bills did something they had not done in a while, play defense.

They killed two Dolphin drives late in the game to snatch the victory in the closing seconds of this matchup.

Bryan Scott put the finishing touches with an interception as Ryan Tannehill threw a pass behind his receiver Davone Bess with 42 seconds left to play in the fourth quarter.

Scott stepped up, made the catch, then went down to avoid any fumbles and took away the hopes of the Dolphins who were making a charge late in the game as the Bills offense struggled.

The Bills won this game on the foot of their kicker Rian Lindell who finished with four field goals as the Bills could not punch in the ball into the end zone when in the red zone.

Lindell connected on 32, 34, 42 and 19 yard field goals.

Leodis McKelvin opened up the scoreboard with a 79-yard punt return in the first quarter. The Bills did not need Fitzpatrick to get on the field as the score came on their first possession of the game.

Tannehill had a late touchdown to make it a one-possession game, but he could not get them to score in his last two possessions.

The Dolphins were hurt early as the Bills capitalized on an early turnover and got three points off a Brian Hartline fumble in the first quarter.

With the victory, the Bills tie for second place with the Dolphins as both teams are 4-6 and a half a game above the New York Jets.
