New Orleans Saints
Mark Ingram (Running Back): In the first meeting with the Buccaneers Ingram had a pretty decent game. He finished the contest with 16 rushing attempts that gained 53 yards and a touchdown. Now the Buccaneers give up the 8th fewest fantasy points to running backs and Ingram's last 100 yard game was in week 7. Ingram is a middling flex for this matchup.
Drew Brees (Quarterback): The Buccaneers give up the 15th fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this season which could pose a challenge to Brees as he has struggled for the past 2 weeks. Brees has a completion percentage below 60 percent in the last 2 weeks making this matchup a pretty frightening one. The last time these teams faced each other Brees completed 24 of 38 passing attempts for 255 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.
Brandin Cooks (Wide Receiver): Cooks is going up against a secondary that has allowed the 14th most fantasy points this season and Cooks has 26 targets in the last 3 weeks. In their last matchup Cooks hauled in 5 out of 7 targets for 62 yards, look for him to redeem himself in this matchup as he a Drew Brees finally have some chemistry.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Doug Martin (Running Back): Surprisingly the Buccaneers won the first game of this series as Doug Martin cruised to 21 attempts and gained 78 yards in this week 2 contest. Now with the Saints giving up the most fantasy points to running backs Martin is an excellent start for some high level production. Martin has 427 rushing yards in the past 3 weeks.
Mike Evans (Wide Receiver): Evans did not play in the week 2 tilt between these two teams so expect some fireworks from this playmaking wide receiver. The Saints have allowed 35 receiving touchdowns which is the most in the league and currently give up the 13th most fantasy points to wide receivers. Evans has one of the best matchups among wide receivers this week.
