Goal-shy Sunderland travel to high-flying Fulham in desperate need of a victory in Sunday's lone English Premier League game.
Martin O'Neill's side have been surprisingly poor in the beginning of the season, and lie in 16th place level on points with third bottom Aston Villa. Fulham, on the other hand, thanks to an inspirational Dimitar Berbatov, have made a bright start and could join Arsenal on 19 points with a win.
O'Neill stressed on the importance of putting away the chances, after Sunderland let a lead slip last weekend and eventually falling to Everton 2-1.
"I think everybody can always talk about points that you could have got and we played very well against Everton away from home last weekend who are going brilliantly," O'Neill said. "We could have been 3-0 up at halftime but weren't -- we suffered the consequences of that late on in the game.
"You could talk about that or a late goal conceded at West Ham, instead of three points you get one.
"I think that by the time we finish our game on Sunday against Fulham we will have played eleven games, with seven away from home and only four at home.
"You can make all sorts of points but where we finish at the end of the season is the only important issue."
"From our own viewpoint it's very obvious that we need to score a few more goals and to do that we need to create more openings. I think that we're starting to do that.
"I think that the talented players we possess at the football club are beginning to show the form that we know they're capable of and that's very encouraging."
Fulham will again depend on Berbatov, who manager Martin Jol termed as the complete player. "He's a pretty nice guy to have around," Jol revealed. "Most of the time he's smiling, because he just loves football.
"He's not like a kid, but he's like a junior player who loves playing football. He loves training, he loves finishing, he loves taking penalties.
"On Friday he wanted to show me that his last penalty (against Arsenal) was not a coincidence. Last week I said to him that there was no player in England who could wait for the 'keeper and that is what he did in front of 60,000 people.
"He can play as a real number nine but it depends on what I do. If I play (Mladen) Petric, Berbatov will be a number 10 but if I don't he will be the number nine.
"Berbatov wants to play and float around and for me that's not a problem. I know him - he had quite a good game against Wigan Athletic in the number 10 role, and he can play up front as well. I think he is the complete player."
In team news, Fulham midfielders Kieran Richardson and Simon Davies are out injured, while Chris Baird will miss through suspension. Mahamadou Diarra and Mickael Tavares are also major doubts.
For Sunderland, Phil Bardsley and Lee Cattermole are doubtful, but Steven Fletcher is expected to shake off a calf problem.
