Week 15 Fantasy Preview (Playoffs Edition): Detroit Lions at New Orleans Saints, Calvin Johnson, Drew Brees, Brandin Cooks, Tim Hightower

Detroit Lions

Calvin Johnson (Wide Receiver): Calvin Johnson is coming off his worst game of the season and his bum ankle might have something to do with it. Johnson looked alright but suffered the injury in week 13. The Lions offense struggled mightily to a Rams team that had struggled to win a game. Johnson has a better matchup this week and a week of recovery time under his belt so he should be ready to go in week 15.

New Orleans Saints

Tim Hightower (Running Back): Hightower was somewhat of a surprise after he got 28 carries however this was because the Saints were running out the clock. In reality Hightower averaged 3.03 yards per carry which is not that great and he proved to be pretty inefficient when it came down to running the football. Do not be surprised if Hightower shows some regression against the Lions.

Drew Brees (Quarterback): Brees has been on a roll as of late. He has 5 touchdowns in his last 2 games and led the Saints to their first win in December in week 14. Now Brees will face a defense that has allowed the 16th most fantasy points in the NFL and struggled to stop the Rams one dimensional offense. Brees should be a solid QB1.

Brandin Cooks (Wide Receiver): Cooks is going up against a team that has allowed the 15th fewest fantasy points to wide receivers this season. Cooks had his lowest fantasy output since week 6 last week. Cooks was mostly unused as the Saints tried to close out a win by killing the clock. This game could be similar even though this could also turn into a shootout. Cooks is likely to play better this week but is still not reliable to start during the playoffs.
