The NFL injury report for Week 16 has updates for players like Calvin Johnson, LeSean McCoy, Marshawn Lynch, Jonathan Stewart, Drew Brees, TJ Yeldon, Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Tyler Eifert, Andy Dalton and TJ Ward.
The Seattle Seahawks are hoping Marshawn Lynch can return soon, but head coach Pete Carroll said to ESPN that there is "no timetable" for Lynch to come back. Lynch had surgery for an abdominal injury and has been rehabbing in the Bay Area. Carroll said that there is a "chance" that Lynch could return for the playoffs and that the team will have to keep winning to give Lynch a better chance at coming back. The Seahawks have been using Christine Michael and Bryce Brown as the mian backs with Fred Jackson as the third down back.
Calvin Johnson is coming into the game banged up for the Detroit Lions, as Johnson is dealing with an ankle injury. According to Mike Rothstein, Johnson has been limited at practice and he likely will not be 100 percent against the 49ers on Sunday. Julian Edelman was limited in practice on Thursday for the New England Patriots and it's uncertain if he will return against the Jets. Edelman has been out with a foot injury, but the Patriots would like to see Edelman get some game action before their first round bye in the playoffs if he is healthy enough to return.
Jonathan Stewart is out again for the Panthers this week with a foot injury, according to head coach Ron Rivera. Stewart likely could play in the game, but Carolina wants to be cautious and will use a combination of Cameron Artis-Payne and Fozzy Whittaker against the Falcons. TJ Yeldon did not practice on Thursday and he could be out for a second straight week with a knee injury. Denard Robinson would likely get the bulk of the carries if Yeldon is out or limited.
