Cleveland Browns Rumors: Johnny Manziel Released After Video? Paxton Lynch, Connor Cook Draft Options as Matthew Stafford, Robert Griffin III Trades Unlikely

The ice Johnny Manziel has been skating on continues to get thinner and thinner. The quarterback continues to struggle with off-the-field issues that could lead to his downfall with the Cleveland Browns. As he prepares to finish out the season as the starting quarterback in hopes that leads to the same role next year, yet another social media video of the quarterback partying has surfaced and the Browns are not happy.

According to ESPN's Pat McManamon, a video of the quarterback singing along to "March Madness" by Future while reportedly holding a drink has hit Instagram and head coach Mike Pettine plans on having a long talk with Manziel. A similar video surfaced back in November causing Manziel to be benched. This is all after the quarterback spent 10 weeks in a rehab facility in January which continues to hurt his status with the Browns.

"Any time there's something with our players that casts them potentially in a bad light, whether it's Johnny or any of our other guys, it's certainly a concern," Pettine said, via ESPN.com. "I'm sure I'll see it and have a discussion with him about it. These circumstances are different from the incident that occurred before. I'm just not going to go into a ton of detail with it until I get a little bit more information about it, but it's something that I'm sure privately we'll discuss if it needs to be discussed."

The Browns have yet to say what the future holds for Manziel, but it is clear the team will explore their options going forward. With a high draft pick in their future, the Browns could easily draft a quarterback in the first round to potentially replace Manziel and the injured Josh McCown. According to Bleacher Report, the Browns had previously shown interest in Connor Cook while Paxton Lynch is an option along with Jared Goff. They would be easy to bring on depending on what happens with Manziel.

Of course Cleveland could look at the open market for quarterbacks. They could easily try and pry Sam Bradford or Kirk Cousins away from their respective teams. Trade deals for Robert Griffin III, Matthew Stafford, Colin Kaepernick and Zach Mettenberger could be in the future as well. All options are on the table for the Browns right now as they prepare to seek out stability at the quarterback position.

With Manziel continuing to take steps backwards in his future, it is hard to see things continuing with Cleveland. Pettine is remaining tight lipped as he has his own future to be concerned about. For the short-term, Pettine told the media that he and Manziel will have a discussion. He will gather information and they will move on from there.

"It falls back into not micromanaging personal lives," Pettine said, via ESPN.com. "It's very public, unfortunately. The thing that's disappointing is how public it becomes. And it's something that, with all of our players, we're going to sit down with them before they get out of here and talk about where they are personally, where they are professionally. And certainly Johnny will be no exception."
