With the New York Knicks off to a fantastic 8-1 start to the season, many fans and media are worried about whether the return of Amar'e Stoudemire will have an effect on team chemistry.

According to Newsday, coach Mike Woodson remains confident that he can make the duo of Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony be a success.

Under Woodson's leadership the Knicks are 8-2 when Anthony and Stoudemire are playing at the same time, and that's all the evidence Woodson needs to continue to believe that they can work as a unit.

"Is it an overall losing record with me as the coach?" Woodson asked before the Knicks opened this three-game trip against the Hornets. "I can't think about what happened before I took over. As a coach, I feel good about both of them playing together on the floor at the same time. That's not going to change."

Tuesday's win made the Knicks 21-7 without Stoudemire. The team cuases mismatch problems and have played so well with Anthony running the power forward position because he's quicker and can get his shots off easier against bigger opponents.

Though Stoudemire is a better pick-and-roll player, the Knicks have continued to run plenty of pick-and-roll plays. And with them having continued success, Woodson believes he can find ways to make Anthony and Stoudemire effective together.
