It has been reported that controversial pass rusher Greg Hardy cleaned out his locker at the end of the Dallas Cowboys season.
The locker room has reportedly run out of patience with the troubled as he was continuously late for team meetings and never lost any playing time. The Cowboys cut several players this season for dress code related reasons and the locker room feels as if it is unfair for Hardy to be untouchable. Hardy routinely missed/was late for meeting with the Carolina Panthers and this was one of the many reasons they released him.
Hardy will not have many (if any) suitors if the Cowboys decide to release the productive pass rusher. The Cowboys will likely aim to sign Hardy to a team friendly, affordable deal and considering the market might not be in his corner Hardy might not have a lot of options.
The Cowboys may give Hardy another year to prove himself with a healthier roster but with pass rushers such as Olivier Vernon, Muhammad Wilkerson, Malik Jackson, and Derek Wolfe available in free agency the Cowboys could attempt to acquire one of them to replace Hardy.
If Hardy is not re-signed by the Cowboys they could also be looking to draft top 5 first round prospect Joey Bosa as a long term replacement. If the Cowboys are going to release Hardy they probably have a good idea of how they are going to replace him.
