Jeremy Maclin looked like what could be a potential season ending injury in the Kansas City Chiefs first playoff game of the NFL Postseason.

The Chiefs got lucky and the injury turned out to be an ankle sprain instead of the dreaded ACL tear. The Chiefs may get lucky again as Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Maclin in "making good progress day-to-day".

The injury is indeed a mild high ankle sprain which is not nearly as bad as anything that was once previously thought. Maclin did not have any swelling and is not walking with a limp which means he could potentially begin to practice if he feels up to it later in the week. Reid said that Maclin can go an entire week without practicing and still be effective in a game so Maclin could come down to a game time decision.

Maclin being involved in the game at all would be tremendously positive for the Chiefs who would be down one of their major playmakers in one of the biggest tests they will face in the playoffs, playing the New England Patriots at home. If Maclin is able to play the momentum going into this game may make a dramatic shift.
