Miami Dolphins Rumors: Vernon Hargreaves, Ronnie Stanley, Laremy Tunsil Draft Targets? Lamar Miller, Rishard Matthews, Olivier Vernon Re-Signed As Free Agents?

The Miami Dolphins have Adam Gase in as their new head coach and heading into 2016, the team has some major personnel decisions, as players like Lamar Miller, Rishard Matthews and Olivier Vernon are hitting free agency.

Adam Gase was hired to take over for the Dolphins after Joe Philbin was fired earlier in the season. Dan Campbell came in as the interim coach, but he now is leaving Miami after interviewing and not getting the head coaching job. According to the Palm Beach Post, owner Stephen Ross wanted Campbell to stay, but he opted to leave the Dolphins. Gase now takes over and Pro Football Talk reports that Gase will call the offensive plays for the Dolphins.

The Dolphins hired Gase in part because of his offensive knowledge after working as offensive coordinator for the Broncos and the Bears. Gase helped Peyton Manning put up some of the best number of his career in Denver, while Jay Cutler had a bounce back season last year in Chicago. The Dolphins like Ryan Tannehill, but the team felt the quarterback took a step back this season and now Gase gets the chance to try and work things out.

The Dolphins have a number of needs on both sides of the ball and where the team looks in the draft could depend on which veterans get cut or released in the offseason. The offensive line should be a main target no matter what, as the team struggled to protect Ryan Tannehill last season. Tannehill has been sacked over 180 times in his career and he was taken down 45 times last season.

James Walker at ESPN writes that Laremy Tunsil and Ronnie Stanley could be potential options on the offensive line in the draft, while Vernon Hargreaves could be a pick if the team wants to add depth in the secondary. The Dolphins likely will try and retain the trio of Miller, Vernon and Matthews, but based on the salary cap and the money the team has coming over from last season, it's likely at least one of those three will not return.
