2012 Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony: Time, Date, Performances and Location of Holiday Tradition in NYC

The Rockefeller Christmas tree lighting will take place this evening in New York City. Yes folks, it is that time of year again where hundreds group up to enjoy a spectable that could be missed by a blink of an eye. 

It has been a long lasting tradition as a new tree is picked every year. This tree came from Connecticut and is about 80 feet tall.

Of course, the most impressive things many found about this tree was its survival of Superstorm Sandy as the natural disaster destroyed many lives around the tri-state area. 

This is the 80th Christmas tree lighting to take place in Rockefeller Center.

When/Date: TONIGHT! November 28, 2012

At What Time:The tree expected to be lit a little before 9 p.m. ET. 

Where: 30 Rockefeller Plaza New York, NY. It is located between West 48th and West 51st Streets and 5th and 6th. The orange lines, B,D,F and V leave you right in Rockefeller Center. 

Artists: You can expected performances from Trace Adkins, Mariah Carey, CeeLo Green, Victoria Justice, Chris Mann, Rod Stewart and Il Volo, with special appearances by Billy Crystal and Bette Milder.

This star studded cast will be in charge of the amusement and entertainment, while many will have their cameras ready to forever record the lighting of the 2012 Christmast tree at Rockefeller Center.
