Hali has been on the Kansas City Chiefs for longer than most NFL player's careers. Hali is 32 years old and has missed only four NFL games in his 10 season career.
Hali has been productive every season he has been on the Chiefs roster but after such a long career is it possible his time is up in Kansas City? Hali is getting old by NFL standards so it is possible that this is the time he signs with a franchise that could lead him to his first Super Bowl title. The match that would make perfect sense would have to go to the Arizona Cardinals. Bruce Arians values veteran players like no other coach in the league and the Cardinals desperately need blitz capable linebackers.
In 2015 Hali recorded 48 combined tackles, 6.5 sacks, a pass defense, and 2 forced fumbles, not too shabby for a guy on the wrong side of 30. In Hali's career he has amassed 553 combined tackles, 86 sacks, a safety, 13 pass defenses, 2 interceptions, a defensive touchdown, and 32 forced fumbles. The Chiefs will have $32 million in cap space so they could feasibly resign Hali however they might decide that money would be better spent elsewhere.
Hali is not a free agent but his cap hit is around $5 million, if the Chiefs want to sign a big name such as Von Miller or a Josh Norman etc they will need to make some more room. The Cincinnati Bengals, Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints, Indianapolis Colts, Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers, and Baltimore Ravens should all have some interest in Hali.
