Los Angeles Rams Rumors: Where Will Trumaine Johnson End Up In Free Agency?

The Los Angeles Rams will have a ton of decisions to make as they look to either resign or release several key playmakers.

Besides Johnson the Rams will have Janoris Jenkins to resign as well which means they could see both of their most productive cornerbacks go to another franchise. In 2015 Johnson had an astounding season racking up 71 combined tackles, 17 pass defenses, 7 interceptions, and a defensive touchdown. In his career he has only missed 9 games and has racked up 206 combined tackles, 42 pass defenses, 15 interceptions, 2 defensive touchdowns, and a forced fumble.

The Rams will have $39 million in cap space however they have so many needs on the offensive side of the ball including a quarterback it would be pretty difficult for them to focus on anything or anyone else. There are multiple teams interested in Johnson including, the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Redskins, Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, Oakland Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, Detroit Lions, Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Miami Dolphins.

Every productive corner in this free agent market should get the contract of their dreams as cornerbacks will be a hot commodity this offseason. Johnson at 26 years old will most likely go to the team that has the perfect combination of both want, need, and of course the right amount of money.
