Michael Griffin has been with the Tennessee Titans since 2007 and at 31 years old he is reaching the end of his NFL career.

The 2015 season saw Griffin play in 15 out of 16 regular season games and start for 14 of them. In that season he also recorded 101 combined tackles, a sack, 3 pass defenses, and an interception. The Titans will likely look to rebuild their offensive line and get a little extra firepower on that side of the ball. The Titans could use some extra cap space to give Marcus Mariota a couple of additional weapons as well which should make this team a bit more competitive.

In Griffin's career with the Titans he has amassed 763 combined tackles, 7 sacks, 60 pass defenses, a defensive touchdown, 11 forced fumbles, and 25 interceptions. The Titans have a ton of cap room so getting a deal done where Griffin remains a Titan until he retires is most likely paramount however he does have a monstrous cap hit of $8,300,000.

The Titans may not want to spend so much on a player who will find himself declining in production in what could be a few short months so it is likely they will look to give him a pay cut. If this does happen then the Titans would likely cut Griffin to help build a team around Mariota.
