Former Cowboys RB Joseph Randle Arrested For Aggravated Battery, Drug Possession

Former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was arrested for the fifth time in last 18 months for three counts of aggravated battery, one count of drug possession and one count of criminal damage, according to TMZ Sports.

The former Cowboys running back was released from the team in November and is being held on a $100,000 bail. Randle was arrested in Sedgwick County, Kansas, and he was reportedly taken into custody Sunday morning.

Randle was arrested in Texas three weeks ago when he went to his ex-girlfriend's house, but he "was not welcome there" as the residents called the police, according to The Dallas Morning News. When police ran Randle's information, they found an outstanding traffic warrant and brought him into custody. Randle was released on a $359 bond in the case but knew the significance of the situation, as he told police "this is the end of my career."

The Cowboys running back has suffered an oblique strain prior to his release, and owner Jerry Jones was more concerned with Randle off the field than on it. "I'm always concerned as to any issues regarding the (mental) health of a player," Jones said, via ESPN. "It's a lot more serious than the football (injury)."

The former fifth-round draft pick was the Cowboys' starting running back at the beginning of the 2015 season and had rushed for 822 yards and nine touchdowns in two-and-in-half seasons in Dallas.
