Dallas Cowboys 'Done' With Greg Hardy; Which Teams Will Be Interested In Pass Rusher?

The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly moving on from Greg Hardy according to CBS Sports. This, in essence, was the right call. Hardy has been a ridiculous distraction off the field - to put it lightly - for this Cowboys team and was often late to team meetings.

It was reported when Hardy was with the Panthers he would often behave similarly. So any team desperate enough to take a shot on Hardy must be prepared to deal with this, according to Yahoo Sports' Shutdown Corner.

The Chicago Bears are one team that would be desperate enough to take a flier on Hardy, reported the Washington Post. John Fox is a tough, disciplined coach, but no matter how you slice it, this defense needs a ton of help. With Jarvis Jenkins and Mitch Unrein free agents this season, Hardy might not find a better place to play.

The second team that could be potentially swayed into signing Hardy would be the San Francisco 49ers. Sure, they let go of Aldon Smith because of all of his baggage, but Hardy actually has a solid chance to play in 2016 whereas Smith will probably find himself suspended. San Francisco needs a pass rush and Hardy could bring them the help that they are seeking.

Lastly, the New York Giants could take a shot on him now that they have a new head coach. The Giants will desperately need pass rushers and they will be unlikely to resign Jason Pierre-Paul thanks to his injury. The market should also price Pierre-Paul effectively out of an acceptable contract offer. The Giants would instantly gain some momentum signing Hardy and he most certainly would make the most out of playing against the Dallas Cowboys two times each a season.

Finding a permanent home for Hardy may seem impossible, but for teams transitioning or rebuilding, they may not have a choice.
