Manny Pacquiao Sued For $8.6 Million By Waiter Who Says He Set Up Mayweather Fight

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao became the highest paid celebrities in the world following their May 2, 2015 fight, and a waiter who reportedly helped make the fight happen is looking to get his due and is suing Pacquiao, his trainer Freddie Roach, attorney Keith Davidson and CBS for an estimated $8.6 million, according to TMZ Sports.

The waiter, Gabriel Salvador, helped bring together CBS executive Leslie Moonves and Roach to make the fight happen and is looking for his piece of the pie. Salvador told both parties that he wanted a "customary finder's fee" of 2 percent of gross proceeds, according to TMZ Sports. The waiter from Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif., attended the fight and spent one night at a Las Vegas hotel and was given a $10,000 check to cover the expenses.

Salvador said after the fight that CBS told him it didn't make any money on the fight, and when he went to ask Pacquiao and Roach he was confronted by their attorney, Davidson, who reportedly tried to "strong arm him" into taking $50,000 as his payment.

Sources reportedly connected with CBS have said that Salvador was not involved in setting up the 2015 mega-fight, and that he is just looking to get a payday. Despite the fact that Salvador reportedly doesn't have any claim to a finder's fee, he is still expected to proceed with the lawsuit in hopes of earning what he feels is justly owed.
