Seahawks, Broncos 'Targeting' Texas A&M's Germain Ifedi In NFL Draft

Both the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos are looking to improve their offensive lines this offseason, and while both teams are looking to fill multiple holes in the draft, offensive line could be at the top of both these franchises' draft boards. One player that impressed both the Seahawks and Broncos at the 2016 NFL Combine was Texas A&M offensive tackle Germain Ifedi, according to Tony Pauline of Walter Football. Both Seattle and Denver are reportedly "targeting" the Aggies offensive lineman late in the first round.

Ifedi didn't post the best numbers in the offensive line group at the Combine, but he is still reportedly generating interest with both teams as a first round pick. The Texas A&M offensive lineman is expected to play guard in the NFL and has drawn comparisons with Dolphins guard Billy Turner. "I think he should have gone back (to school)," an NFC area scout said, via NFL Network. "I like the talent, but he didn't put it together like I needed to see to give him a first two-round grade. I see him as a guard and not a tackle."

The Seahawks sit with the 26th pick, and many expect the Aggies offensive lineman to still be on the board by the time they are selecting. Seattle has needs at offensive tackle, cornerback, wide receiver and defensive tackle this offseason, according to NFL Draft analyst Lance Zierlein. Most draft analysts are expecting Seattle to go with offensive line in the first round of the draft, but it will likely depend on who is on their draft board by the time they are on the clock.

NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock doesn't have Ifedi on any of his lists for top five offensive linemen in the upcoming draft class, and if players like Michigan State's Jack Conklin or Ohio State's Taylor Decker are still available, it wouldn't be surprising if Seattle went in that direction.

The Broncos will have to wait until everyone but the New England Patriots to select before it's their turn with the last pick in the first round of the draft. They have needs at both offensive tackle and guard, and if Ifedi makes it past Seattle, the Broncos could have a strong chance to land him.

Both Seattle and Denver are reportedly "targeting" Ifedi late in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, but it will likely all depend on how teams select in front of them, as they are both looking to bolster their offensive lines through the draft.
