It is probably one of the best, if not the best, lineup of artists ever assembled on Earth as the 12 12 12 Concert hits the stage and gets ready to rock Madison Square Garden today at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Making this concert even more special is their relief effort for those who suffered and are still suffering from the effects of Hurricane Sandy, which hit the east coast of the U.S. late October.
This is the only place where you can find artists from Paul McCartney to Kanye West to Nirvana all on the same stage, united for the same cause.
Producer John Syke said that $32 million have been raised already through ticket sales and sponsorship.
Without a doubt it should be a night full of surprises. These artists are legends and this event will have them all on the same stage, under the same roof in the same night.
Skye Roger said Waters, McCartney and Chris Martin of Coldplay "are reaching out to other legends to join them on stage and create once-in-a-lifetime moments."
Also expected to perform tonight are The Rolling Stones, Alicia Keys, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, and Bon Jovi.
Not to mention that Nirvana is expected to make an appearance and have McCartney take front and perform a song with the band.
McCartney will also be, according to Reuters, "jamming with Dave Grohl and Eddie Vedder duetting with Waters on a Pink Floyd song." There are just some of the surprises in store for this magnificent concert.
