Manchester City travels to St James' Park, home of Newcastle United, as both clubs get set to face off Saturday afternoon for their Premier League match. Join us as we will bring you colorful commentary along with a detailed play-by-play and scoring updates of this game.

Man City comes into the matchup with the heavy artillery and the advantage as they are the second best team in the league standings. In 16  matches, Manchester City has tallied 33 points placing them six points behind the leaders, Manchester United who have 39 points through their 16 games.

They face a Newcastle team that is in the doldrums. They're not quite good enough to be in competition, but yet, not bad enough to be consider a demotion.

Newcastle has worked its way to 17 points in their first 16 games matches of the year.

By no means do they come into this matchup with a real chance of winning. They have no for of winning momentum to rely on as they recently won a game to prevent a losing skid from progressing. They had lost four straight games in November, but then broke that streak against Wigan with a 3-0 victory.

However, their celebration was shortlived as they dropped their match the following week to Fulham.

If there is any positive sign for Newcastle heading into this matchup is that Manchester City hasn't been as dominant as opponents would expect.

They are winners of just one of their last four games and their sole victory came against Wigan also. Last week they lost a derby to Manchester United in dramatic fashion as the scoreboard signaled 2-3 at the end of the match in favor of Van Persie and Co.
