RGIII Fined $10,000 for Wearing an Adidas Tee? (Photo of Shirt)

Where is Run DMC when you need them? They surely would have had issues finding out Robert Griffin III was fined $10,000 by the NFL for wearing the wrong t-shirt to a press conference.

On Sunday at a press conference, RGIII was sporting an adidas T-shirt, one of the companies sponsoring the first-year NFL star. However, the issue is that the NFL has a league-wide deal with the NFL, according to LATimes.com

The official ruling on the fine was "unauthorized apparel."

Frankly, if you ask me, RGIII could wear whatever he wants. He is bringing football back to the starving fans in Washington, a place where football has been absent for such a long time. Despite injuries to their defense, RGIII has them ranked in the Top 5 in points scored and total yards, while ranking 1st in the league in rushing yards per game.

Wearing the wrong T-shirt to a press conference producing a fine? That's borderline ridiculous. Why not issue a warning? RGIII is a class act. So classy, apparently, Rob Parker had issues with RGIII's behavior and considered him a sell out to his people saying he was a "Cornball brother." Whatever that's supposed to mean.

RGIII shouldn't have any issues paying off the fine though. So let's not focus too much on this issue. Redskins football is revelant in the NFL now. They are fighting to stay atop of the NFC East and get into the playoffs for the first time since 2007.
