Manchester United midfielders Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs are set to retire at the end of the season.
The 38-year-old Scholes first hung up his boots in the summer of 2011, before making a surprise comeback in January this year.
Scholes then signed a one-year deal with the club to keep him at Old Trafford until the end of the 2012-13 season; but according to The Sun, this year will be his final one as a player.
Considered one of the greatest ever players to put on a United shirt, Scholes will bid goodbye after what he will hope be another English Premier League title, with United currently leading the table by six points.
Scholes has already won 10 Premier League titles, three FA Cups and two Champions League titles.
Another legend that could be bidding goodbye is Giggs, with the Welsh wonder set to play out his final season.
Both Scholes and Giggs have been bit-part players this season, leading to suggestions this could be their farewell year.
It is looking increasingly likely that two of the greatest ever players to play in the Premier League will end their illustrious careers come the summer of 2013.
Meanwhile, Sir Alex Ferguson has spoken about the Champions League draw which has seen them facing Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid in the pre-quarterfinals over two legs.
"Well, it's the tie of the round," the United manager told the club's official website. "It's a great opportunity for our fans to see Cristiano again and also for me to meet up with Jose again -- I'll need to order some good wine!"
Another player also expected to leave Old Trafford in the summer, although it is not yet clear whether he will retire or move onto another club for a couple more years is Rio Ferdinand, and the veteran defender gave his opinion on facing off against Real Madrid in the last-16.
He wrote on Twitter: "Oh yes, Madrid!! What a couple a games that'll be!! @Cristiano see u soon bro!!"
