Dallas Cowboys' Playoff Hopes Not Too Bad

Let's put it this simple for Dallas Cowboys fans, as long as you're not the New York Giants, your hopes of entering the playoffs are pretty good.

As of right now, the Washington Redskins own the first spot in the NFC East. However, since the Cowboys play them head-to-head on Sunday, they have a chance of taking the division and stealing the fourth spot in the playoffs.

Basically, Sunday's showdown will be for the NFC East division.

The Redskins and Cowboys met on Thanksgiving Day. Robert Griffin III blew up in that game throwing four touchdowns and 304 yards. The second quarter basically decided the game as the Redskins went on to score 28 points.

If there was any good news for the Cowboys in this game was that they almost mounted a comeback in the fourth quarter as their defense stiffened up only allowing 10 points in the second half.

RGIII is working off a clean slate, so the amount pressure on his shoulders and Tony Romo aren't comparable. Lose on Sunday and Romo and the Cowboys will once again be scrutinized, which is nothing new in Texas.

Romo has the personal accolades, but as a team, the Cowboys have never won a Super Bowl. Romo could be as great as he wants in the regular season, but at the end of the day, he will be judged on whether or not he was capable of bringing the Lombardi Trophy home.

The Cowboys need to win on Sunday if they want a chance at making the Super Bowl. If they win, the NFC East is theirs.
