J.R. Smith might have the reputation of being a reckless player, but so far he is proving clutch for the New York Knicks as he hit the game-winner with only one second remaining in regulation. Smith's last second bucket helped the Knicks top the Phoenix Suns 99-97 Wednesday night.
Smith was not only clutch with the winning basket, he helped the Knicks tie the game to push N.Y. even with the Suns at 97-97.
They were boh tough jumpers, but Smith was absolutely on point with both.

The bucket got the Knicks back in the win column after dropping consecutive games to the Chicago Bulls and their Christmas Day matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers.
It wasn't the first time the Knicks counted on Smith to win a game for them. Back in mid-December, he knocked down a jumper that helped his team top the Charlotte Bobcats 100-98.
Wednesday night, Smith, who is the Knicks' Sixth Man this year, led the team in scoring dropping 27 points. He didn't shy away from taking charge shooting 11-27 from the floor. He filled up the stat sheet grab six rebounds, dishing five assists with five steals and one block.
It was a big victory for the Knicks got back on the winning column and they did it without Carmelo Anthony and Raymond Felton on the floor.
