The Minnesota Vikings have a shot at locking up the NFC Wild Card with a victory today against their rival Green Bay Packers at 4:25 p.m. ET.

Also, a major storyline people will keep their eyes on Sunday, Adrian Peterson is just 208 yards from breaking the single-season rushing record that has withstood for almost 30 years now.

Will he doubt it, we doubt it, but there is no doubt that Peterson will give it his all. 

One thing we didn't doubt all season long though was the NFC Central having the toughest teams in the league. As of now, though the NFC East also has a tough race ahead with the Washington Redskins, New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys all stacked right behind each other, the best records in the NFC Wild Card are coming from the NFC Central division.

The Packers are 11-4, while the Bears and Vikings are tied at 9-6, with the Vikings sitting in second place. 

For the Packers this season, their year hasn't been awfully impressive. They don't have a 1,000 yard rushing back or 1,000 yard receiver, but Aaron Rodgers still has the 7th highest scoring offense in the NFL average close to 27 points per game.

Their defense is average for the most part, but they are stingy allowing just under 20 points per game good for 7th in the league. 

The Packers are fighting for the 2nd seed in the NFC. A loss and San Francisco 49ers win could have them playing in the first round of the playoffs.
