Tottenham vs Reading Live Stream: Watch Free Online English Premier League Game

Tottenham will be keen to continue their strong run when they host relegation-threatened Reading in their English Premier League game on New Year's Day.

Spurs are currently in fourth on 36 points from 20 games, just two points behind second-placed Chelsea, albeit having played a game more than the Blues.

Reading, however, are in dire straits, five points adrift of safety, having picked up just 13 points from 20 matches so far this season.

Despite Reading's struggles, though, Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele is not taking anything for granted.

"We're back at home and it's an important game for us against Reading," Dembele told the club's official website.

"Everyone expects that we'll go out there and win but it won't be easy. We have to be 100 percent concentrated for this game."

Reading manager Brian McDermott, whose side picked up a vital 1-0 win over West Ham at the weekend, insisted Spurs are not a one-man team, with the team's best player Gareth Bale ruled out of the game through suspension.

"I watched their game on Saturday when they won at Sunderland, we know their quality, White Hart Lane is difficult but we'll relish it," he said.

"Bale is a top player but they're not a one-man team. I really like Andre, he's a friend and he is doing a great job. They have Gylfi (Sigurdsson) who we had since 14, top lad and top player.

"They played well when they came here, we didn't compete like we needed to, but that's a long time ago now. We need to go there, be right and compete."

McDermott believes the competition at the bottom of the table is getting tighter with every passing game. "We're used to playing lots of games, we love playing," he added. "It's getting tighter in the division, teams are coming back to us.

"We were written off, but we will keep doing our best. We've got great fight and spirit, every single player sticks together. I'm looking forward to it -- these are the places you want to go.

"We went to Man City and pushed them right to the wire. It's important that we got four points from the past two games -- it gives us a real fillip."

Bale is the only concern for Andre Villas-Boas, with Clint Dempsey expected to fill in for the Welsh winger.

Reading are expected to play with the same lineup that started the game against West Ham, while Jason Roberts remains a major doubt due to an ongoing hip problem.
