------------------WELCOME TO THE LIVE BLOG of the BENGALS vs. TEXANS--------------------------

The action begins at 4:30 p.m. ET as the Cincinnati Bengals visit the Houston Texans for their second AFC Wild Card matchup in as many years. This will be a game you don't want to miss and if you can't watch it, we have a live blog with play-by-play and scoring updates just for you.

Let's compare these two squads as we near kickoff.

Though the Texans boast the better record, they didn't necessarily hobble into the playoffs, but they could have ended their season in better fashion. They lost three of their last four games to finish the season 12-4, but were bettered by the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots in the final week as both teams wrapped their season with wins.

The Bengals resurrected their season down the stretch winning seven of their last eight. They jump kicked their playoff run with a huge victory over the New York Giants in Week 10 and almost the momentum almost helped them take the division from the Baltimore Ravens who truly hobbled into the playoffs.

The Bengals finished 2012 with a 10-6 record and bring the eighth best defense allowing just 20 points per game, the 6th best defense in total yards allowed and 7th best passing defense allowing just 212 passing yards per game.

As for the Texans, they can beat you on both offense and defense. They score the eighth most points in the league averaging 26 per game, while their running is the 8th best in the league averaging fewer than 133 per game.

On the defensive end, they allowed just over 20 points per game for 10th in the league and their run defense was 8th best allowing only 97 per game.

The Texans will have to watch out for A.J. Green, while the Bengals' defense will have to step up their ground game with Arian Foster attacking on the rush.
