The Memphis Grizzlies and the Phoenix Suns have been engaged in trade talks, all of which has been centered by forward Rudy Gay.
According to Yahoo! Sports, the Grizzlies have been shopping Gay to multiple teams and have found an interested trade partner with the Suns.
Though there's no real framework for the trade, the Grizzlies have remained adamant that any package involving Gay must include Suns forward Jared Dudley and future first-round draft picks.
Gay is being shopped by the new Memphis management with the hopes to avoid paying luxury tax in the short term, as well as get rid of the $17.8 million and $19.3 million that'll be owed to Gay in the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons.
The Suns have been mindful of their financial state under Phoenix owner Robert Saver, and have doubts that the organization will be able to absorb the remainder of Gay's contract.
The Grizzlies have made proposals on Gay to several other teams as well.
Gay remains the team's leading scorer averaging 17.8 points per game this season.
